Video Magnifiers

Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTVs) are video capture devices that can be used to display and enlarge any number of subjects in real time. They are often used for reading text and looking at images. Depending on the model, they can also be used for self-grooming, distance viewing, or reading labels (such as on food or medication).

CCTVs come in many sizes, from large desktop models, to portable units. Portable CCTVs often incorporate a small screen into the body which is used to show the magnified images. Such a CCTV can be carried with you and used in every day situations, such as reading a restaurant menu, or a bus schedule.

Larger CCTVS come with a large screen, useful for reading for longer periods of time, or for looking at photo albums. They can come with their own monitor, or connect to a computer.

CCTVs allow you to magnify to a much larger degree than a traditional magnifying glass, and make important tasks such as reading a lot easier.
